My name is Mrs. Jacobs and I am very excited to work with your children this school year 2009-2010.
Ways for Parents to Support Spanish Practice at Home:
- Use of Flash Cards with your child
- Create labels and attach to objects in your home
- Practice the vocabulary lists on the website
- If you speak any Spanish, say words, sentences or even have simple conversations with your student in the language
- Practice simple questions and answers (for example: What color is the sky? What are you going to do? What day or time is it?
- Practice saying a word or phrase in Spanish, repeating it in English and then saying it again in Spanish (for example: Yo estoy alegre…I am happy…Yo estoy alegre).
- Watch TV in Spanish
