The Barnhart School Amateur Radio club is back!  Amateur radio, known as ham radio, is both a hobby and a service to our community.  Hams enjoy communicating with each other by two-way radios and experimenting with antennas and electronic projects. Please use the links under the image for more information.

The Barnhart Middle School Amateur Radio club (BMSARC) was founded by the school's Technology Directory and club trustee Tim Adams, N6DLC, and David Turin, a middle school math teacher, W6OQK, to spark interest in radio communications, electronics, math applications and community service. The first two middle school students to earn their technician licenses, KI6AUG and KI6BDD have been licensed for more than three years. Our newest Hams include KI6CRN and KI6EZW, now 6th graders, and two 8th graders, KI6EZY and KI6EZT. The club is currently meeting Wednesday afternoons for students in grades 3-8.
