Performing & Visual Arts

The arts are an integral part of education and life. While some students will find a life-long career or avocation in the arts, all students will develop greater understanding of self and others through the study of the arts.

Barnhart’s vibrant arts program involves the entire community as both participants and spectators. Formal training brings the discipline, technique, and skills necessary to speak through artistic media. Each of the fields of the arts gives a unique approach to learning, Barnhart requires students to participate in a variety of arts classes.

Art classes introduce students to various materials, concepts and techniques.  Classes are designed to enhance skills, and provide an expanded creative experience.  Historical art concepts are used to achieve greater technical ability and broaden knowledge.
