Philipp's Summer Vacation
At the hatchery and eagle reserve in Ketchikan, Alaska. Behind me a fishing trap that is only legal at this site. Fish that were raised and released here come back upstream amazingly come up the same stream at which they were hatched. The trap directs them into a large pool. Then they die after the eggs are collected. It takes 1 or 2 years for the fry to mature enough to survive in the wild. Later the process happens all over again. They release over 200,000 fish every year.
