How is Barnhart currently handling its educational model?
Barnhart continues to follow the latest guidance of the Los Angeles Department of Public Health, California's Department of Public Health, and recommendations by the CDC. Following these recommendations and requirements, we have started our academic year fully remote, with a robust program that focuses on the social-emotional and educational needs of our students and community. We will continue to follow local guidance as we move through this school year. We recognize that assurance and stability is rare these days, and we strive to provide our students and families with a program that can bridge the gap between a novel pandemic and the consistency we crave.
Who is leading Barnhart's decision making in regards to Covid-19?
In addition to our administrative team and Board of Trustees, we've created a Covid Planning Task Force. This Task Force meets regularly to go over the most recent information available by local authorities and experts. Leading our community through this time, the Task Force helps guide our decision making as we focus on safety, education, and flexibility. We continue to adapt to the most recent information available to us and our amazed at the flexibility and perseverance of our faculty, students, and families. To help guide our planning, the Task Force is using this Vision Statement to frame its work: Throughout the 2022-2023 school year, Barnhart’s community is healthy and connected, and all of our students are receiving high-quality instruction that meets their needs.
