Community Service

Parent volunteers working in our Community Garden.

Each year the Middle School students visit Byron E. Thompson School in December to spend a day with their students and serve them.

Community service is a big part of Barnhart's commitment to growing students who are conscious of the world around them and who have generous servant hearts. We have a strong community service program not just for our students, but for our families as well. Students in Middle School have a requirement of service hours to be completed each year, while elementary students participate in service projects with their classes. Parents are also encouraged and required to lead by example and complete service hours each year. Two of the biggest ways parents can volunteer on campus is in our community garden and through serving at our holiday luncheons.
