Each year, Barnhart’s Annual Fund plays a vital role in sustaining and strengthening the exceptional education we provide our students. While tuition covers a significant portion of the cost, it doesn’t cover everything. The Annual Fund bridges that gap, ensuring we can continue to offer outstanding programs, retain and attract excellent faculty, and enhance the student experience.

What is the Annual Fund?
The Annual Fund is Barnhart’s most important yearly fundraising effort. It supports every aspect of school life — academics, arts, athletics, technology, campus maintenance, professional development, and more.
Because these funds are unrestricted, they provide us with the flexibility to respond to immediate needs and invest in strategic priorities that elevate the quality of education for every student.
The Gap
Like most independent schools, tuition alone does not cover the full cost of educating each student. There is a gap — the difference between what tuition provides and the actual cost of a Barnhart education. This gap is intentional, helping keep tuition as accessible as possible for more families. Your gift to the Annual Fund helps close that gap.
Why 100% Participation Matters
Every gift has an impact. 100% participation sends a powerful message of commitment and community. It demonstrates that our families, faculty, and staff believe in the mission of Barnhart School.
Full participation also strengthens our school’s case when applying for grants or seeking major gifts. Foundations and donors look for strong internal support as a sign of a healthy, engaged community.
Ways to Give
• Online Giving - Make a secure donation with a credit or debit card through our secure link.
• Cash or Check - Drop off your gift at the front office or mail it to Barnhart School, Attention: Advancement Office, 240 West Colorado Blvd., Arcadia, CA 91007.
• Recurring Gifts - Set up monthly or quarterly installments to maximize your impact.
• Matching Gifts - Many employers will double or triple your donation through a matching gift program. Check with your employer's HR department to see if your company participates.
