• Stock Transfers - Donations of appreciated securities, usually common stock, provide a tax-efficient way of making your gift. Gifts of appreciated securities, held for more than one year, may entitle you to a charitable income tax deduction for the fair market value of the securities on the date of the gift. • Matching Gifts Double or Even Triple The Impact - What are matching gifts? Corporate matching is a form of philanthropy in which companies match charitable contributions made by their employees to eligible nonprofit organizations. When an employee makes a donation, they can request a matching gift from their employer, effectively doubling—or even tripling—their impact.

Most companies match donations at a 1:1 ratio, but some may offer more generous programs, matching at 2:1 or even 3:1. It's an easy way to increase the value of your gift and make an even greater difference to Barnhart.
